Rana Ayyub (born 1 July, 1959) is an Indian journalist and political writer. She previously worked as a senior editor for ''Tehelka'', and is now an independent columnist. Rana Ayyub resigned from ''Tehelka'' in November 2013, to protest against the organization's handling of a sexual assault charge against its editor-in-chief Tarun Tejpal. She has been critical of the Narendra Modi-led Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) government. In July 2014, the newspaper ''DNA'' published her opinion piece "''A new low in Indian politics''", in which she criticized the appointment of Amit Shah as the president of BJP. However, the article was taken down from the newspaper website without any justification, resulting in allegations of media censorship on social media.〔 Richa Chadha, who makes a cameo appearance as a journalist in the movie ''Chalk n Duster'' has said that she took inspiration from her friend Rana Ayyub to play the character. ==Awards== In October 2011, Rana Ayyub received the Sanskriti award for excellence in journalism.〔(【引用サイトリンク】url=http://archive.indianexpress.com/news/sanskriti-awards-to-kashmiri-writer-sarangi-maestro/861865/ )〕 抄文引用元・出典: フリー百科事典『 ウィキペディア(Wikipedia)』 ■ウィキペディアで「Rana Ayyub」の詳細全文を読む スポンサード リンク
